"In 2018, Brandon  Brandon Stanton of Humans of New York, and Kọ́lá Túbọ̀sún, renowned Nigerian linguist, spent 3 days in Lagos, Nigeria. On this trip, they explored the city that never stops hustling, unearthing it's art, culture and stories. One key story they stumbled on was Mary's, an artist working in Nike Gallery. While Mary has graduated school now, her career in the arts is just beginning and we at Lẹ́wà Market couldn't be happier to host her debut collection. Curating from her incredible selection of pieces was a challenge--because the talent she showed was simply overflowing, so much so that it was hard to pick. But, we did our best and here on the site is a great place to start from, for us, and for you, to appreciating Mary's work."
